National Parents Organization of Massachusetts believes we can pass shared parenting legislation yet this session. We need your help NOW to make this happen.

Meet with newly elected Representative (and longtime member) Shawn Dooley, R-9th Norfolk District. Discuss how we can share The Boston Globe editorial endorsing shared parenting with our legislators and Governor Deval Patrick. Learn about the Governor’s Working Group’s legislation.

First, Attend the membership meeting:

When: 6:30 pm to 8:30 pm, Thursday, May 29

Where: Watertown Free Public Library
123 Main Street
Watertown, Massachusetts 02472

Parking: Limited metered parking is in back of the library and on the street.
All parking is metered, on the street and behind the library with a 2 hour limit. The meters are monitored between the hours of 7am-6pm Monday through Saturday, Sundays are free.

Second, Bring Your Cell Phones, Laptops, and IPads

We are going to work. We will call and email other National Parents Organization members and your friends and family members. We must make every effort to convince Governor Deval Patrick to own HIS Working Groups’ child custody bill.

Please come. Please work. Bring 3 friends or family members.
This is our chance for shared parenting legislation in Massachusetts.

Third, Call the Governor’s Office

Call Governor Deval Patrick's office - Rosemary Powers, Deputy Chief of Staff for Government Affairs; 617.725.4090 office and 617.429.9152, cell.  Ask her to have the Governor sponsor the custody bill prepared by HIS Working Group and send it to the Legislature as HIS bill.

Also, call the Governor’s office: 617.725.4005. Tell them you wish the Governor to know that you support the child custody bill prepared by HIS Working Group

Let us know you are attending the meeting and that you called the Governor’s office.
